Business Continuity, the Risk Management Expo was an exhibition concept devised and developed by IMP Events Ltd. Having identified a gap in the market, IMP established strong relationships with the main industry body, the BCI and leading media partners, including the leading publication CIR Magazine. Business Continuity and Risk Management are both key issues for the financial community and so the event was staged at the leading exhibition centre ExCel in London's Docklands - just over a mile from the City of London, the UK's financial district.
In 2004,it's first year, Business Continuity, the Risk Managment Expo delivered ahead of plan in all areas with over 65 exhibitors, nearly 2000 visitors and over 100 conference delegates. In 2005, IMP launched Technology for Compliance Expo to run alongside the Business Continuity exhibition. Dealing with the increasing amount of regulation and legislation facing companies, the visitor audience was hungry for information in this vital area.
By 2006, after 3 record breaking editions, the event had established itself as Europe's leading exhibition for the business continuity community and the largest specialist business continuity exhibition in the world. In addition, the conference was internationaly renowned, attracting speakers and delegates from around the world.
Both events were acquired Reed Exhibitions late in 2005. Operational control reverted to Reed after the 2006 event.
